CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- January Johnson Wolfe's second installment of her "Chasing Butterflies" series, titled "Captured," will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Clay Center.

Although this is the second year the ballet will be performed, much is new, including a new cast, some new music and a new Mother Earth mask, made by Jude Bender of Calhoun County and worn by dancer Amanda Lanham. The ballet features 95 dancers from The Academy of Arts at January's studios in Charleston and Teays Valley, who will bring to life butterflies, owls, spiders, bats, cobras, eagles, moon drops and elements like sky and water.

Tickets are $24 for adults and $17 for children under 12. Call 304-345-5141 or email at
