DALLAS - Tyler Wilkerson scored 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds as Marshall defeated Southern Methodist 73-57 Saturday night at Moody Coliseum, thus earning a bye in the first round of the Conference USA tournament.

Marshall and ISP Sports have reached an agreement to extend their 12-year relationship to 2021, with some very tangible results coming to the Thundering Herd's several sports venues.

While Marshall seems to have a spot in some postseason tournament secure with a 22-8 overall record, the goal is to win the Conference USA tournament and a ticket to the "Big Dance." It would be nice to have to win three games in three days next week, instead of four in four. Either way, the road very likely goes through Tulsa.
